Guillaume Meyzenq appointed new President and CEO for Salomon. Michael Hauge Sørensen returns to former role as Advisor to Board of Directors. Global Leadership Team expanded to support company’s next phase of growth.
Amer Sports, Inc. (NYSE:AS), a global group of iconic sports and outdoor brands, announced today key leadership changes to support Amer Sports’ continued acceleration and evolution as a global public company.
Guillaume Meyzenq, currently Chief Product Officer for Salomon, has been appointed President and CEO for Salomon effective January 1, 2025, reporting to Group CEO James Zheng. Guillaume is a proven global executive within Salomon and Amer Sports, having led global product categories, regional commercial roles and as a member of the Salomon leadership team for the past decade. Over the past decade, he successfully led the transformation and acceleration of Salomon Footwear, which constitutes the bulk of both the Salomon brand business today and its growth plan for the future.

Michael Hauge Sørensen, Amer Sports Group COO and Executive Officer, has decided to step down from his current position and will return to his former role as Advisor to the Board of Directors of Amer Sports, effective January 1, 2025. Michael stepped into the role of Group COO in 2020 to help drive the transformation to accelerate Amer Sports for a path of long-term sustainable growth. He also played a pivotal role in preparing for Amer Sports’ NYSE listing in February 2024.
“We are grateful for Michael’s significant contribution during this critical time in Amer Sports’ evolution, and we are pleased that he will continue to advise the company in his return to his previous role,” continued Mr. Zheng. “With Michael’s transition, we will evolve the Amer Sports executive structure and discontinue the COO role.
