Amazon has unveiled a new feature called AI Shopping Guides, which will simplify the search and selection of products on the platform. Thanks to generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI), customers will be able to find the best products more easily by receiving “personalised assistants” during shopping.
After a standard product search, consumers will be able to access guides that contain useful information, including charts comparing the characteristics of different products. AI Shopping Guides also summarises product reviews.
For sellers, Amazon is introducing Rufus AI chatbot, which provides research and recommendations, and helps to promote their products. The new feature will extend Rufus, making it easier to create product descriptions without significant intervention from sellers.
Amazon also plans to integrate data from other platforms to offer even more personalised recommendations to consumers.
