Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala won not just one, but two crowns in the W100 Vitoria-Gasteiz tournament in Spain.
On Sunday, the world no. 155 player defeated Andorra’s Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva in the finals, 6-4, 6-4, to claim the singles title.
This is Eala’s fifth overall title in the women’s singles after winning in Manacor in 2021, Chiang Rai in 2022, and in Roehampton and Yecla in 2023.
A day before her singles championship, Eala, along with France’s Estelle Cascino, won the doubles tournament, 6-3, 2-6, 10-4, against Bulgaria’s Lia Karatancheva and Latvia’s Diana Marcinkevica.
This is her third doubles crown just for this year as she won in Pune with Darja Semenistaja and in Croissy-Beaubourg, also with Cascino.
