As of Monday, undergraduate college football players can enter the transfer portal. Players from Alabama and everywhere else can enter until Dec. 28.
The Crimson Tide has already seen a fair amount of players opt to jump into the portal, and portal activity increased on Sunday, when Alabama was left out of the College Football Playoff. UA also had several players make their intentions known before Sunday’s news.
As the window continues, here’s who is leaving Alabama so far. No players have committed to the Crimson Tide yet, but when they do, this story will be updated with them as well.
Jehiem Oatis
Oatis opted out of the 2024 season early on in order to preserve his redshirt. The defensive lineman from Mississippi struggled with injures throughout the offseason, ahead of the 2024 campaign.
Keanu Koht
Koht provided depth on the defensive edge for much of the season. However, he was suspended for the LSU and Mercer games before leaving the Crimson Tide.
Jahlil Hurley
Hurley didn’t get on the field much as a defensive back this season. A redshirt freshman, he was able to play on special teams, registering one tackle in 2024.
Kobe Prentice
Prentice saw his role shrink for the Crimson Tide as a junior. The wide receiver made 11 catches for 129 yards, along with a single touchdown.
Caleb Odom
Odom was notable for his size at wide receiver as a true freshman, checking in at 6-foot-5, 227 pounds. He made seven catches this season.
Miles McVay
McVay was a depth piece at offensive line this season. He spent two seasons in Tuscaloosa after joining the 2023 recruiting class as a four-star prospect.
Kendrick Law
Law started multiple games at wide receiver for Alabama this season, but has dealt with injuries. He made 10 catches for 105 yards and a touchdown, also contributing in the run and return games.
Danny Lewis
The redshirt sophomore tight end didn’t register a catch this season. He has one throughout his Alabama career.
Hunter Osborne
The redshirt freshman defensive lineman made four tackles and broke up a pass for Alabama this season. He appeared in four games.
Naquil Betrand
Betrand joined Alabama as a transfer offensive lineman from Texas A&M for 2024. He was removed from UA’s online roster in October.
