Alabama football running back Justice Haynes is entering the transfer portal, a source with knowledge of the situation told AL.com.
Haynes is a former five-star running back in the 2023 recruiting class.
Haynes was a co-starter with Jam Miller at running back this past season. Entering the transfer portal will give Haynes a chance to go be the feature back somewhere instead of having to split reps in the Alabama offense.
This season, Haynes rushed 79 times for 448 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore. The son of former NFL running back Verron Haynes, the Alabama running back only saw double-digit carries in one game this season. Quarterback Jalen Milroe and Miller each saw more carries this season.
Haynes is the biggest name so far to enter the transfer portal for the Crimson Tide. He joins the likes of Kendrick Law, Kobe Prentice and more who have entered so far.
The transfer portal opened Monday and will stay open for 20 days.
