Alabama football now has a second transfer portal addition in the fold.
Cornerback Cameron Calhoun has transferred to the Crimson Tide, Alabama announced Wednesday.
Calhoun played for Utah this past season after a year at Michigan. He’s from Cincinnati, Ohio. Calhoun is listed at 6-foot, 177 pounds.
Calhoun joins Florida defender Kelby Collins as Alabama’s two transfer portal additions so far. Meanwhile, about a dozen Crimson Tide players have entered the transfer portal.
During this past season at Utah, Calhoun saw playing time in 11 of them, starting one. During his true freshman season at Michigan, Calhoun saw time in two games.
In 2024, Calhoun tallied 21 tackles and intercepted one pass.
247Sports ranks Calhoun as the No. 4 cornerback available and No. 61 player overall. As a prospect, Calhoun was a four-star and the No. 41 cornerback in the 2023 recruiting class per the 247Sports Composite.
Calhoun bolsters a position that has plenty of questions going into 2025. Domani Jackson is eligible to return, but he could also go out for the NFL Draft. Zabien Brown is heading into his second season. Meanwhile, Jaylen Mbakwe is back, but he could switch to or split his time at receiver.
Alabama is preparing to face Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. in Tampa, Florida.
