Al Arabi defeated Al Sadd 88 – 77 in a well-contested final to win the Amir Cup basketball at the Al Gharafa Sports Club court on Thursday. Al Arabi’s Mustafa Husein Ali Ahmed Rashed was declared MVP of the match for his match-high 27 points, collecting three rebounds and three assists. Mohamed Hussein scored 19 and Christopher Singleton Jr making 13 points. With the victory Al Arabi, having already clinched the Qatar Cup and Qatar basketball League, completed a hat-trick of titles. Moustafa Fouda and Robert Eugene Jr scored 22 and 16 points respectively for Al Sadd. HE First Vice-President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Mohamed Yousef al-Mana crowned the winners.
