Bengals Wrap: Burrow & Higgins keep post season hopes alive
Enquirer beat reporter Kelsey Conway breaks down the Bengals Week 17 overtime win against the Broncos.
The Cincinnati Bengals kept their NFL playoff hopes alive with a 30-24 win Saturday against the Denver Broncos at Paycor Stadium in NFL Week 17.
Tee Higgins scored the game-winning touchdown from Joe Burrow in overtime, after Cade York missed a 33-yard attempt earlier in the extra period.
NFL.com estimates the Bengals’ playoff probability at 13 percent.
Here’s what must happen for Cincinnati:
The Bengals still need to win their final game of the season, against the Steelers in Pittsburgh in Week 18.
The Bengals also need the Broncos to lose in Denver to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.
The Bengals also need the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts to lose at least one more regular-season game. Both teams could turn to backup quarterbacks Sunday.
Indianapolis faces the New York Giants on the road Sunday, and Jacksonville at home in Week 18.
Miami visits the Browns in Cleveland on Sunday, and the New York Jets on the road in Week 18.
