Several Jacksonville Jaguars members took 20 members of the Boys & Girls Club of Nassau County on a shopping spree at the newly opened Academy Sports + Outdoors in Yulee, its first store in Nassau County.
Cornerbacks Montaric Brown and Jarrian Jones surprised the youth — who were unaware they would be attending — and helped them pick out apparel, shoes and sports equipment, among other things.
Also on hand were two Jaguars cheerleaders and team mascot Jaxson de Ville.
Academy and the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation sponsored the event. Each of the youth received a $200 gift card. Academy also donated a $1,000 gift card to the Nassau club to purchase new items for its after-school and summer youth programs.
For more information about the Nassau Boys & Girls Club, go to bgcnassau.org. The new academy store is at 463758 E. Florida 200.
