The New York Jets are finally back in the win column.
After losing five consecutive games, the Jets beat the Houston Texans 21-13 on Thursday as New York overcame a slow start and scored all of its points in the second half.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst starts of the season, completing seven of his 14 passes for just 14 yards heading into halftime. He finally got things going in the second half, and his favorite target was Garrett Wilson.
Wilson had nine receptions for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including one of the best catches you’ll see this season:
Rodgers also found a connection with Davante Adams after a bit of a slow start to his time as a Jet. Adams had seven receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown, sealing the game with a late score in the fourth quarter.
Rodgers finished with 211 passing yards and a season-high three touchdowns, shaking off the slow start to help New York snap a losing streak that was starting to get ugly.
After the win, fans praised Wilson, Rodgers and the Jets for picking up a win against one of the top teams in the AFC.

The Jets still have a long way to go before they’re considered to be playoff contenders, but a win on Thursday is a step in the right direction. Rodgers was finally clicking with his receivers and the defense came up big against CJ Stroud and the Texans.
The question now is whether New York can continue building off the win.
