Concord’s Kevin McDonough, a senior on the Vermont State University-Castleton football team, was named to the All-MASCAC First Team Defense list. McDonough, an inside linebacker, was ranked second in NCAA Division III in total tackles (126) and tied for fifth in solo tackles (63). He also led the MASCAC in tackles per game, averaging 12.6 per outing, for the 3-7 Spartans. He recorded a career-high 19 tackles against Mass. Maritime on Sept. 21. McDonough also competes for the Castleton Alpine skiing team, which he has also been a member of for four years.
