A person need not look very far to find basketball in New York City—whether it be in a conversation or in a game, no matter how organized or disorganized. Their passion for borough supremacy in the private and public high school leagues sparks intense rivalries and unending trash talk. Their pride for their native hooping sons and daughters is fierce.
