500+ jobs to be available at Opelika hiring event
OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) – Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers is hosting a multi-employer hiring event on Oct. 29.
The event will be held at the Goodwill Career Center in Opelika from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. More than 500 full-time and part-time jobs will be up for grabs.
According to officials, many jobs’ starting pay is $17 per hour or higher. Two employers attendees can expect are Walmart Distribution Center and Alabama Department of Corrections.
Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews. They can also participate in free career readiness classes.
