LOS CABOS, Mexico, Feb. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Hidden Pearls Podcast & Studio, founded by NFL star George Kittle, his father Bruce Kittle, and his sister Emma Kittle, teamed up with the ABC Sports Foundation to host the first-ever Football for Change event—an innovative experience blending wellness, philanthropy, and community service with a shared passion for football.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Los Cabos, the event featured inclusive football camps for both boys and girls, including a special Saturday camp that saw more than 100 girls enthusiastically participating in flag football, emphasizing the event’s commitment to promoting the sport for all.
“This event is about much more than football,” said Bruce Kittle, co-founder of Hidden Pearls Podcast & Studio. “It’s about creating an environment where wellness, mental health, and personal growth intersect with sports and community involvement. Our vision is to nurture stronger and healthier athletes, which we believe long-term leads to empowered and engaged individuals who not only perform at their best in football, but also in life.”
NFL star George Kittle echoed this sentiment, stating, “It was incredible to see my teammates from the 49ers step up and coach these young athletes. Seeing over 100 girls competing in flag football, embracing the game, and gaining confidence was truly inspiring. This event proves that football can be a powerful force for positive change.”
Ashley Allen, Executive Director of ABC Sports Foundation, emphasized the broader impact of the event. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Kittle family to deliver this groundbreaking event. Our goal at ABC Sports Foundation is to promote community empowerment through sports. The event perfectly captured that spirit, creating meaningful connections while advancing football’s reach and promoting overall wellness.”
The Los Cabos Tourism Board shares a deep commitment to community empowerment with organizations like ABC Sports Foundation. “The first “Football for Change” event was a success and a great initiative to show our children the transformative power of sports,” said Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board. “We are looking forward to continuing to work together and working closely with Bruce Kittle, his family, and the entire team of the 49ers.”
Participants also engaged in several impactful community service projects, attending events at two schools and a community center, reinforcing the event’s core value of giving back. In addition to the football camps, players also took part in wellness activities such as yoga and group outings, further emphasizing the holistic nature of the event.
The event was made possible through the generous support of numerous sponsors, friends, and partners whose contributions were instrumental in bringing this vision to life.
