It’s been nearly nine years since Charley Hoffman’s last PGA Tour victory, but the 48-year-old veteran pro is co-leading the charge at this week’s American Express, along with Rico Hoey, at 16 under par.
A win this week would mark the fifth of Hoffman’s career (and first since the 2016 Valero Open) and the first for Hoey, whose best finish on the PGA our was runner-up at last year’s ISCO Championship.
Because of this week’s unique tournament format, the players will remain in their assigned groupings for one more round until being re-shuffled after Saturday’s 54-hole cut ahead of the final round. Hoffman will play the third round alongside Eric Cole at 11:30 a.m. ET while Hoey will play with J.J. Spaun at 12:14 p.m. ET.
You can watch the third round of the 2025 American Express on Friday from 4-7 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. You can also stream exclusive online coverage via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ starting at 12:15 P.m. ET.
