2025 5-star Ty Haywood ends commitment to Alabama football. What we know
Alabama football lost a member of its 2025 recruiting class Monday.
More than a month after the Crimson Tide signed 21 players, the majority of which enrolled with the program early, five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood told On3 he was ending his previous commitment to Alabama.
Haywood did not sign with a college football program during the early signing period. According to On3, Haywood was not considered an Alabama commit after not signing with the Crimson Tide in the early signing period.
Haywood committed to Alabama on July 14 after he reportedly held official visits with UCLA, TCU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Florida State.
Haywood is the No. 20 player in the 2025 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is the fourth-ranked offensive tackle.
In the 2025 class, Alabama secured four-star offensive tackles Micah DeBose and Jackson Lloyd, and three-star offensive tackle Mal Waldrep.
