Over the last 12 months, Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz have been unbeatable in foursomes play. So of course that duo is leading off for the Americans again on Saturday.
A year after Korda and Corpuz were 2-0 as foursomes teammates in Spain, that pairing cruised to another win at the Solheim Cup on Friday, becoming the first U.S. duo to win three straight foursomes matches. They’ll try to make it four straight come Saturday morning.
Korda and Corpuz will face Europe’s Emily Pedersen and Carlota Ciganda in the opening foursomes match at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club on Saturday, which tees off at 7:05 a.m. ET. It will be the key leadoff match to the morning session and serve as crucial momentum for whichever side wins it.
The Americans grabbed a 6-2 lead after the opening day, winning morning foursomes 3-1 and later taking the afternoon four-ball 3-1 as well.
