LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – An illegal gambling business was shut down in Lake County, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives said the illegal business was housed at Icons in Tavares, Florida, 14942 Old US Highway 441. A total of 125 illegal gambling machines were confiscated, as well as $48,200, LCSO said in a Facebook post.
Three people were arrested and charged with keeping or maintaining an illegal gambling house, the sheriff’s office said. Their names were not immediately released.

Photos shared by the sheriff’s office showed what appeared to be a video slot machine-style game and piles of cash purportedly collected as evidence.
The Eustis, Mt. Dora, Leesburg, and Clermont police departments all assisted with the investigation.
