Most professionals would rather work from the office no more than three days a week
Flexible work is all the buzz in 2024.
From the “hushed hybrid” remote work trend to debates over the RTO mandates sweeping Big Tech companies worldwide, remote working is on everyone’s tongues and is stirring division and angst between employees and employers.
Approximately one in five workers are refusing to comply with their employer’s RTO policy, a new Resume Builder survey reveals. They are finding creative ways to skirt around the in-office requirements, from asking trusted colleagues to swipe in for them, swiping at strategic times that make it appear that they have been in the office, or, as ResumeBuilder noted occurs more frequently, leaving the office much earlier, continuing to work from home for the remainder of their work day.
If their employer cracks down on compliance to ensure the rules are being followed to the letter, many employees say they would quit, with most stating that they would rather be in the office for a maximum of three days or less in a week.
This is one reason why the three days or less working arrangement—also known as hybrid remote—is a great way to strike a balance, and many professionals and job-seekers looking for a remote-favorable employer would find more opportunities if they expand their searches to hybrid remote, than fully remote on its own.
Suppose you’re looking for your next high-paying hybrid remote job this fall and wondering which roles are in high demand currently and pay more than $100,000 annually. In that case, you’ll be pleased to know that there are plenty of roles that offer hybrid flexibility and high pay.
The flexible jobs board, FlexJobs, recently identified 10 occupations that pay an average salary of $100,000 or more, according to PayScale. FlexJobs formed this analysis after reviewing the hybrid job posting histories of the top 100 employers who frequently post hybrid remote roles out of approximately 60,000 companies in the FlexJobs database between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024.
The 10 abovementioned roles fall broadly into three categories—technical, business support, and finance. To locate hybrid remote jobs within these categories, you can try niche job sites for each category, such as:
