On Wednesday the county announced important information about its youth basketball program through the recreation department. Children from Kindergarten to 12th grade are eligible.
You can register your child with the link here starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 30.
According to the county’s press release, the program focuses on developing the fundamentals of the game, as well as teaching friendship, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
On the importance of youth sports, County Executive Marc Elrich said “Youth sports serve as an incredible outlet for both competition and teaching life lessons.”
