A friend or loved one will drop an emotional bombshell on you over the next 24 hours but looking back a few days hence you will realize you should have seen it coming. Next time, don’t just assume that everyone is as well-adjusted as you.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Mars in the financial area of your chart remains in its retrograde phase until early next week, so you must be careful what you spend on a daily basis and what you commit yourself to over the longer term. You’re not made of money!

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

The answer to a problem that has been bugging you for ages will pop into your head today and no doubt you will kick yourself when you realize how simple it was. Next time, don’t make such a big deal of events that are trivial in the extreme.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Few people are more skilled than you mentally but someone you cross swords with today will match you idea for idea and word for word. Instead of seeing them as an enemy why not suggest you pair up? You could make a fantastic team.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

Make an effort to find out why a loved one is so down in the dumps at the moment and then make an even bigger effort to help them climb out of it. Show them why life is not nearly as bad as they seem to think it is.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

You must resist making an important decision before you possess all the facts. You may think that you can trust your gut instincts but with mind planet Mercury at odds with Jupiter today there is a very good chance you are kidding yourself.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If someone blames you for something that is not remotely your fault you must set them straight immediately. If you fail to deny it they could take that as a sign you are guilty as charged and it won’t be easy to dissuade them later on.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):
