Martin Sharp, founder of Sharp Fit for Life, is also a public speaker and a mentor for the Professional Speakers Academy (PSA), guiding people who want to share their own stories on the stage.
His efforts have now been recognised at the PSA’s annual awards for 2024, where he was awarded for making more than £1,000,000 in the training industry.
More than 50 awards were given out at the event. In addition to his seven-figure award, Martin was also a finalist in male speaker of the year.

Martin, 48, said: “I’m extremely humbled and beyond thrilled to receive a seven-figure award for serving and helping busy professionals achieve their dreams by smashing their overwhelm, overwork, and overweight. This isn’t just about numbers – it’s about lives changed, goals achieved, and the ripple effect of greatness.
“It was an amazing evening sharing the moment with hundreds of wonderful busy professionals and celebrating their achievements serving their communities and the world. With over 326 nominations, it warms my heart to know there are so many people out there positively changing lives.”
This achievement comes after Martin surprised everyone by deciding to become an apprentice at 44 after more than two decades as an enterprise architect business consultant. He decided to train to become an online health and fitness coach after experiencing his own wake-up call and successfully losing 40kg in a year.
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, it had a devastating impact on Martin’s consultancy business and he lost 97 per cent of his clients overnight. This spurred him on to help others transform their own health and he became a fully qualified personal trainer, apprenticing with the coach who had helped him boost his own fitness and shed the weight.
Martin has recently launched a new programme called The Business Body Network Online, which is designed to help busy professionals who struggle to find time to prioritise their health.
He added: “The Business Body Network Online uses the Business Body Blueprint’s six proven success strategies to empower people, drive energy, improve focus, and increase success in every area of their life.”
