The 45th annual Santa Maria Valley YMCA Golf Tournament is slated for Friday, Sept. 6 at the Santa Maria Country Club.
The tournament is slated to start at 12 p.m. on Sept. 6 and continue into the evening. The evening’s programs will feature a helicopter golf ball drop.
The helicopter ball drop is slated for 5 p.m. during the evening program, followed by dinner and a live auction.
For the past few years, the Santa Maria Valley YMCA has named a fellow non-profit as its partner for the tournament. This year, a portion of the tournament proceeds will be designated to benefit YMCA programs that serve local families in need and will also support the OASIS Center.
The OASIS Center is a community resource that is designed to enhance the lives of older adults. By joining forces with the OASIS Center, the YMCA “is ensuring that both youth and seniors in our community continue to have access to programs that promote health, wellness and connectedness,” Santa Maria Valley YMCA Chief Operating Officer Michael Specht said in a news release.
“We are thrilled to host our annual 45th annual golf tournament and look forward to another fantastic day on the green at our beautiful Santa Maria Country Club,” said Specht.
“The support we receive from our community year after year is truly inspiring, and it allows us to continue providing vital programs that make a positive impact on so many lives.”
