One WWE NXT star pokes fun at CM Punk‘s request for privacy.
Airports are all to familiar to professional wrestlers with their busy travel schedule, but some interactions with fans make the airport an even less pleasant place to be. In early 2023, a video surfaced of fans harassing Liv Morgan at the airport, and the next month, another video showed Rhea Ripley being bothered by people asking her to sign stacks of merchandise.
CM Punk is the latest star to call out fans for overstepping boundaries when it comes to their favorite stars. In a recent Instagram story, Punk wrote:
“Hey guys, Love y’all, but friendly reminder to respect privacy and boundaries. Airports are not a meet and greet. If I have to ask you to please stop following me multiple times you have crossed a line. Please stop this. Thank you. (And stop using your children as a shield or an excuse.)”
Now, WWE NXT Champion Ethan Page has taken to social media to seemingly poke fun at Punk’s request for privacy. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), he shared a photoshopped image of NBA star and Olympian Tyrese Haliburton asking for his autograph at the airport. Haliburton recently appeared on NXT. Page wrote the following caption along with his post:
The fans at the airport are getting to be obnoxious. Respect the talent’s privacy. Please.
Haliburton saw the image and responded:
Everybody knows this photoshop cuz who would actually WANT an “Ethan Page” action figure
