West Virginia has added Colorado State linebacker Chase Wilson to the program, securing a commitment form the upcoming sixth-year senior for the 2025 season. He announced his decision on social media on Friday evening.
Wilson arrived at Colorado State in 2020 and played five games over his first two seasons. During his redshirt freshman season in 2022, he played in all twelve games and registered 29 tackles. He took over the starting job for the next two seasons, registering 205 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 25 games.
Wilson will be a sixth-year senior. The 2020 season did not count toward his eligibility, and he used a medical redshirt in 2021 after being injured three games into the season. That would leave him two years to play one season.
