The seventh annual West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission Girls Golf Invitational comes with a change in venue.
The 2024 version of the event will take place Tuesday, September 3 at The Links at Woodridge Golf Course in Mineral Wells.
Registration is set for 8:30 a.m., with coaches and players meetings to follow, and tee times to be announced at a later date.
Deadline for entry is August 26 and tee times will be revealed August 29.
The Links at Woodridge is a par 71 course described as West Virginia’s first links golf course.
The WVVSAC Girls Golf Invitational, which began in 2018, is split into two divisions — a championship division with 18 holes of stroke play from the ladies’ tees and the open division, which will be a nine-hole event.
The top eight finishers in the championship division are awarded all-tournament status.
There is sure to be a new champion in 2024. Hurricane’s Savannah Hawkins won the event each of the last two years at Mingo Bottom Golf Club. She has since graduated and is set to begin golfing at Marshall this year.
