CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) – The new year is almost here and many people are planning out their fitness goals for 2025.
Its important to remember you can start at anytime, but once you get in the routine of going to the gym more often it makes going a bit more easier.
“Once you make a habit of coming to the gym it becomes a lot easier. It almost becomes easier to be at the gym and to eat healthier, than it is not too,” said Suzie Olivero. “Once you have com committed to it and done it often enough your body feels better when you do it.”
Its important to remember not over do it at the beginning, make you take time to pace yourself to get where you want to be.
“If you haven’t been at the gym in ten years and you start off doing three hours a day every day for a week, you are going to get tired and you are more likely to stop going,” said Olivero. “It is important to take it slow and do a little at a time.”
When you are figuring out what to start out with, once you start your fitness journey for the new year. WV Fitness 24 has instructors to help guide you.
“We do have personal trainers here who can take each person into consideration,” said Olivero. “But if you come in and you haven’t done anything in a while, take a fitness class to see what you like.”
