Eight teams punched their ticket to the WPIAL football championships set for Acrisure Stadium during an action-packed semifinal Friday.
Here are the matchups from Class 5A, 3A, 2A and 1A that will hit the field on the North Shore next Saturday, Nov. 23, with several teams looking repeat, while others aim to claim a WPIAL title for the first time in years.
No. 1 Pine-Richland vs. No. 3 Peters Township, at Acrisure Stadium
No. 2 Central Valley vs. No. 5 Avonworth, at Acrisure Stadium
No. 1 Seton LaSalle vs No. 2 South Park, at Acrisure Stadium
No. 1 Fort Cherry vs. No. 2 Clairton, at Acrisure Stadium
Thomas Jefferson and McKeesport will be in action at 12:05 on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Norwin High School for the 4A title. Central Catholic and North Allegheny will follow that matchup at 6:05 for the Class 6A crown.
