Grade 1 winner Saudi Crown worked Friday for the first time since the Pegasus World Cup on Jan. 25. The Brad Cox trainee worked four furlongs in 50.8 seconds over the dirt at Payson Park. Winner of the Pennsylvania Derby last year, Saudi Crown finished fifth in the Pegasus World Cup after setting the early pace.
Skippylongstocking, a three-time Grade 2 winner who finished third behind White Abarrio and Locked in the Pegasus, was also on the work tab Friday morning. He worked four furlongs in 47.8 seconds for trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr., his second drill since the Pegasus. The 6-year-old son of Exaggerator was running in the Pegasus for the third time in 2025, and that third-place finish was his best result in the race.
