Breeders’ Cup Sprint winner Straight No Chaser worked a bullet at Santa Anita on Monday morning. The 6-year-old son of Speightster, trained by Dan Blacker, went five furlongs in 59.2 seconds, fastest of 38 at the trip.
The work was Straight No Chaser’s fifth work since his Breeders’ Cup victory. He returned to the tab on Dec. 22 and has had about a week between works ever since. He is nominated to the $2 million Riyadh Dirt Sprint (G2) on Feb. 22.

Straight No Chaser (Speightster), a Grade 1 winner (2024 Breeders’ Cup Sprint), worked five furlongs in 59.2 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the fastest of 38 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start, he won the Breeders’ Cup Sprint going six furlongs on the main track at Del Mar on Nov. 2 for trainer Dan Blacker.
Tarifa (Bernardini), a three-time Grade 2 winner (2024 Mother Goose, 2024 Fair Grounds Oaks, 2024 Rachel Alexandra), worked three furlongs in 38.0 seconds at Payson Park on Monday morning. It was the seventh fastest of 12 works at the distance. This was her first work since her last race. In her last start, she placed second in the Falls City (G3) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 28 for trainer Brad Cox.
Air Force Red (Air Force Blue), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Joe Hernandez), worked four furlongs in 48.2 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the ninth fastest of 69 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Santa Anita. In his last start, he placed seventh in the Joe Hernandez (G2) going 6 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Santa Anita on Dec. 28 for trainer Leonard Powell.
Barnes (Into Mischief), a Grade 2 winner (2025 San Vicente), worked four furlongs in 48.6 seconds at Santa Anita on Monday morning. It was the 16th fastest of 69 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start, he won the San Vicente (G2) going seven furlongs on the main track at Santa Anita on Jan. 4 for trainer Bob Baffert.
Stolen Base (Bodemeister), a Grade 2 winner (2022 American Turf), worked four furlongs in 50.0 seconds at Belmont Park on Monday morning. It was the fastest of seven works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Belmont Park. In his last start, he placed 10th in an allowance race going one mile on the turf at Belmont at the Big A on May 17 for trainer Bruce Levine.
Disarm (Gun Runner), a Grade 3 winner (2023 Matt Winn), worked four furlongs in 50.0 seconds at Fair Grounds on Monday morning. It was the 21st fastest of 58 works at the distance. His previous work was five days ago going four furlongs at Fair Grounds.
