Three weeks after he uncorked one of the best speed figures
of the year, Grade 1 Travers Stakes winner Fierceness returned to the work tab
Sunday.
The Eclipse Award winner owned by Mike Repole and trained by Todd Pletcher
breezed a half-mile in 50.6 seconds, his first timed workout since he was given
a 111 Beyer Speed Figure last out, according to Daily Racing Form.
Pletcher said Fierceness will train up to the Breeders’ Cup Classic, which will be run at Del Mar on Nov. 2.
