With the possibility of getting in a race before going in
the Breeders’ Cup, three-time Grade 1 winner Anisette got back to timed
workouts Sunday.
The 4-year-old Awtaad filly owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred
Partners and trained by Leonard Powell went a half-mile in 50.8 seconds at
Santa Anita in her first work since she finished third in the Grade 2 John C.
Mabee on Sept. 7 at Del Mar.
The Rodeo Drive (G2) on Oct. 5 at Santa Anita could be a tune-up for
Anisette on the way to the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf at Del Mar on
Nov. 2.
