KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women’s golf team took first place at the Hornet Fall Invitational on Monday at the Kalamazoo Country Club.
Kalamazoo shot 328 as a team, 18 strokes better than the second place team, and the second-lowest score in school history. There were seven teams in the women’s event.
Four of Kalamazoo’s players were in the top five in scoring.
Nadia Zerlaut was the tournament medalist with a 79, also her best score of the season.
Jacey Merkle and Jillian Smith tied for second overall at 82. Ellie Britt finished fifth with an 85.
This was Kalamazoo’s final event of the fall. The Hornets will return to competition in the spring.
