MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The Elon University women’s golf team sits tied for first with High Point following the opening day of play at the Rivertowne Invitational.

The Phoenix posted a 296 (+8) in the first round but was unable to complete the second round. Follow the action and track the completed holes here.

HIGHLIGHTS  

• Emma Hansen led the Phoenix with an even-par 72 that included a team-high three birdies and is tied for second place. 
• With a 74 in her first round Kelly Zhao sits in a tie for __ place.
• Ashley Lafontaine carded a team-high 13 pars in round one to tie for 15th place with a 75 (+3).
• Garland Gould tied for 16^th place with a 3-over par 75.
• Andrea Asmundsdottir carded a 6-over par 78 in round one to tie for 34^th place. 

UP NEXT 

• The Phoenix will complete the Rivertowne Invitational tomorrow Feb. 18, with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m.
