MOUNT UPDATE
Mount St. Mary’s women’s golf is set to tee off at the Great River Golf Club on Monday, September 9th in the SHU Fall Classic. The team is a seasoned team with five out of the six on the roster returning this season as well as one newcomer.
The Mountaineers capped last season off with a sixth-place finish in the MAAC Championships. During the second round of the MAAC Championships, they scored a low round of 294. Two players as well during this round had a low scoring round of 72 which were Makensy Knaub and Naomi Yacyshen.
The five players returning helped pace Mount’s previous stellar season. Returners include four juniors in Makensy Knaub, Allie Sexton, Jennifer Sorkin, and Naomi Yacyshen; and one senior in Erika Cui.
The team is set for action at the SHU Fall Classic.
