DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central women’s golf team begins its 2025 spring schedule at the Lady Bison Invitational on Monday, March 3, in Gainesville, Fla. Tee time is 8 a.m. both days in the two-day tournament.
The Eagles will compete against nine teams, including host Howard, on the par 71, 5,908-yard Hawkstone Country Club course. The other teams in the field are Alabama State, Youngsville State, Queens-Charlotte, Saint Francis, Monmouth, Maryland Eastern Shore, Bethune-Cookman and Holy Cross.
Four of the 10 teams – NCCU, Howard, Saint Francis and Maryland Eastern Shore – are women’s golf members in the Northeast Conference (NEC). Howard is picked to win the conference while NCCU is predicted to place fifth. Saint Francis is expected to finish seventh and UMES is voted to place 12th out of 12 teams.
Trinity Ahing leads an Eagles’ squad featuring Aubree Clements, Cailynn Winford, Mya Smith and Sidney Renville. Ahing tied for sixth in the NEC championship tournament last year. Kendall Wallace begins his first spring season as Eagles’ head coach.
