NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women’s golf team heads to the Hoosier State this Monday and Tuesday for the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis.

What’s Bruin

• In their first tournament of the fall, the Bruins finished third at The Velvet, led by junior Chloe Tarkany’s tie for fifth place finish. 
• Belmont also saw two freshmen, Sloane Biddle and Harper Edwards, finish tied for 10^th.  They are the first pair of Belmont freshmen to earn a top-10 finish in their BU debut in program history. 
• Tarkany leads the team in scoring with a 75.3 average. 
• This is the third time in four years the Bruins have competed in this event.   In their two previous trips, they have earned second and seventh place finishes. 

The tournament is a two-day, 54-hole event that will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.   It will be played at Highland Country Club, which plays to par of 70 and a length of 6,040 yards. 

Highlighting this year’s 17-team field includes host Butler, Dayton, Marshall, and three other MVC teams: UIC, Indiana State, and Valparaiso.
