CHARLESTON, S.C. (Oct. 14, 2024) – East Tennessee State University women’s golf finished the opening two rounds of the Edisto Island Invitational on Monday.
Sophomore Brianna Castaldi shot 7-over through the first 36 holes for the best performance by a Buccaneer. Senior Alex Crafton finished at 11-over with one round to play, and ETSU sits in 13th of 16 teams competing.
Host College of Charleston leads with a 5-over score as a team. Northern Arizona and Stetson round out the top three. In the individual competition, Pariya Sanpanawat (Georgia State) leads at 6-under. Susana Olivares (Jacksonville) and Emma Schimpf (Charleston) joined her under par with two round scores of 3 and 2-under, respectively.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Crafton tees off from Hole 4, Castaldi from 5B, Madeline Simcox from 5A, Sydney Harz from 6A and Silvana Gonzalez from 6B for the Bucs.
