The Lindenwood women’s golf team closed out the fall portion of its schedule on Tuesday at the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate. The Lions finished in eighth place with a team score of 647.
OVERVIEW
The Lions opened the tournament with a team score of 324, led by Paula Mariana Sanchez who carded a 77, including a team-high four birdies. Coming in just behind her was Jamie Daniels who fired a 79, aided by a pair of birdies. Meredith Colby registered a 83 and rounding out the lineup was Andrea Alvarez and Isabella Buckley who each tallied an 85. Playing as an individual, Laura Sanchez notched an 87. After 18 holes, Lindenwood sat in a tie for eighth.
In the second round Lindenwood carded a 323 led by Andrea Alvarez’s 75. Her round consisted of a pair of birdies. Daniels also had two birdies on her way to an 80. Not far behind her was Paula Sanchez who fired an 83, Laura Sanchez ended her tournament with the same score, playing as an individual. Rounding out the lineup was Buckley with an 86 and Colby with an 86.
