LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Saint Joseph’s women’s golf team capped its first ever NCAA Division I event on Sunday as the Hawks shot 426 in the final round of the Bucknell Invitational.
How It Happened
• As a team, the Hawks finished 13th as a team with a three-round score of 383-401-426/1210.
• Individually, freshman Hanna Mitchell finished 73rd after posting a three-round total of 91-85-95/271.
• Junior Allie Gesztesi shot 96-104-108/308 over the three days and finished in 74th place.
• Rookie Ava Tornello placed 75th after carding a three-round score of 103-114-107/324.
• Sophomore Olivia Cooper posted a three-day tally of 110-115-116/341 and finished in 76th place.
• Freshman Elora Walker, who posted a score of 93-98-70/261 over the opening two rounds, was forced to withdraw due to illness and placed 77th.
• Penn won the team title by 32 strokes with a score of 295-285-294/874.
• The Quakers’ Debby Chang won medalist honors by two strokes with a score of 72-71-74/217.
• The Bucknell Invitational was held at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Club (5,901 yards).
