Cadiz Women’s Golf League
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League concluded their 2024 season Sept. 25 with an Italian banquet prepared by the country club staff.
An awards presentation and election of officers for the 2025 golf season followed the luncheon.
Tracy Amos received the plaque for being the 2024 league champion.
Linda Tyson was recognized as most-improved player.
Ringer winners included, Marilyn Kenny, A Flight; Donna Griffin, B Flight; and Pat Stewart, C Flight.
Players who scored eagles this season included, Roberta Cireddu, Kenny and Denise Augustine.
Players who scored a birdie included, Kenny, A Flight; Tyson, B Flight; and Stewart, C Flight.
Those having a chip-in included, Cireddu, A Flight; Bonnie Beetham, Griffin and Judy Crawshaw, B Flight; and Stewart, C Flight.
The officers for the 2025 season will include: Brenda Hartley, chairman; Griffin, vice chairman; Crawshaw, secretary; and Glenda Sensel, treasurer.
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League would like to thank the board, grounds crew, pro shop and dining room staff for their help and contributions to an enjoyable and successful season.
Town and Country Ladies Golf
The Town and Country Ladies Golf League held its final scramble of the season Sept. 26.
The Spring Hills Golf Course was marked off for a par-three event on the first nine holes.
The winning team consisted of Veronica Foldi, Debbie Hendricks and Shirley Guida, with a 29.
Three teams tied for second place, with a score of 31.
Players included: The team of Laura Froehlich, Lattee Chinakarn, Dora Elizaga and Nancy Lellie; the team of Vicki Broska, Diane VanDine and Toni Dondzila; and the team of Signa Findlay, Kathy Antinone and Michele Purviance.
Players noted it was an enjoyable way to end the season.
