March Madness may traditionally refer to the NCAA Tournament, but for women’s college basketball fans, the schedule is already jam-packed with conference tournament play nationwide.

With champions earning an automatic bid to the Big Dance, teams of all stripes will be looking to claim supremacy in their own conference before moving on to the 68-team national tournament. Top contenders want to maintain momentum and underline their national title credentials, while teams on the bubble will surely see a chance to end any doubts over their status. Conference tournaments even give the teams that struggled a chance to turn a tough year into the kind of season fans talk about for years.

Friday will see nearly 40 games across 12 conferences, including powerhouse teams taking the court in the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, and Big 12.
