WIS Sports Director/Anchor Rick Henry honored by USC School of Journalism
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The University of South Carolina’s Journalism and Mass Communications school is honoring WIS long-time anchor and sports director Rick Henry.
He is receiving the high honor of their distinguished alumni award.
Rick Henry graduated from USC in 1977.
He started his career as the first Black Sports Director in South Carolina. He joined WIS-TV in 1988 as the Assistant Sports Director and became our Sports Director in 1996.
