MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – This Friday is WSFA 12 News’ annual 12’s Day of Giving. At 12’s Day, employees, sponsors and partners collect food, money and toys for families in need.
One of those generous sponsors, Wind Creek, gave back to the community by helping fill several shopping carts with new toys to donate at the event.
Members of the Wind Creek team joined WSFA employees to take over the toy aisles at Target. Their goal was to pick the perfect presents for children in the area who may not otherwise have Christmas.
“We just love to help our community and give to those that are less fortunate than what we are,” said Crystal Seals with Wind Creek.
Wind Creek also gave their guests an opportunity to help meet the need. Seals said people can bring unwrapped toys – with a receipt – to any Wind Creek property through Dec.13. In exchange for the donation, you can receive $10 free play or a $10 resort credit.
Not only did Wind Creek shop for toys, they also bought food to give to the Heart of Alabama Food Bank.
