The ACU men’s basketball team dropped a matchup against one of the best teams in the country, 92-54 at No. 13 Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon.
It was the Wildcats’ second game against a Top 25 team in the past three weeks (ACU played No. 25 Baylor in Waco on Dec. 9).
Texas A&M scored the game’s first nine points before a lay-up by Rich Smith, and a jumper from Quion Williams put ACU on the board.
Hunter Jack Madden lofted the ball to Dontrez Williams who finished the alley-oop to pull the Wildcats to a 16-12 deficit.
But the Aggies made a frantic charge with 12 unanswered points in 1:11 of game time – part of a 14-0 tear to pull away.
