Surveillance video released by police in Australia shows the moment suspects rammed an SUV into a shopping mall and drove through it, causing extensive damage to several businesses.
According to Victoria Police, it happened around 5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. Surveillance video shows the vehicle crash into the doors of the mall, then drive through the inside of the shopping center.
Police said at least seven businesses sustained significant damage.
“The offenders then rammed the vehicle into a kiosk, before stealing a safe and fleeing the scene in an unknown direction of travel,” police said.
No one was inside the shopping center at the time, police said. Local media reports say no arrests have been made.
