Widespread damage at Rocky Mount shopping center from suspected tornado
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) – There is widespread damage in a Rocky Mount shopping center after a suspected tornado hit this afternoon.
Much of the damage is in the Tiffany Square Shopping Center which is on Benvenue Road, across from Golden East Crossing Mall.
Photos sent to WITN show damage at several restaurants at the shopping center, a tractor-trailer overturned, and multiple trees onto buildings.
Nash County was under a tornado warning when the damage occurred around 1:40 p.m.
