Payton Pritchard was one of the Boston Celtics’ standout performers during their opening two preseason games. The four-year NBA veteran has continued to showcase his seemingly limitless shooting range, while also flashing improvements when entering his shooting motion off the dribble. If Pritchard can sustain his early preseason production, the Celtics bench will be a dangerous proposition heading into the new season.
Of course, Pritchard’s improvements and bulldog style of play has only been one aspect of what the Celtics displayed during their time in Abu Dhabi. Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown approached the two games against the Denver Nuggets with aggression, as both look to disprove the media narrative that have followed them throughout the summer.
In a recent YouTube video from “Backyard Buckets,” the host cited Pritchard’s improvements and the aggressive nature of Brown and Tatum as primary reasons why teams around the league should fear the Celtics heading into the new season. They also touched on Boston’s elite depth, along with the eventual return of Kristaps Porzingis.
