The Kansas City Chiefs earned a much-needed bye week after clinching the No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs.
After the Denver Broncos’ loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the defending Super Bowl champions now know who they will face in the divisional round next week.
Chiefs NFL playoff bracket update
The No. 1 seed Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the No. 4 seed Houston Texans in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs next week.
Chiefs vs. Texans predictions
These teams met earlier in the season, and Kansas City had no problem wrangling the up-and-coming Texans. Though Houston has proven to be a worthy adversary for elite opponents in the past, the Chiefs’ experience should help Kansas City cruise to a relatively easy victory in front of a home crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.
Final score: Chiefs 27, Texans 20
