The NFL is set to put a bow on Week 15 and do so in style with a “Monday Night Football” doubleheader. We are heading into the home stretch of the season, but the playoffs aren’t on the mind for many this evening. Only the Vikings are in a playoff spot heading into Monday.

The Falcons find themselves with slim hopes, while the Bears and Raiders are preparing to watch the postseason unfold from their couch. However, with fantasy implications and so much more, there’s no reason we can’t be set up for a great night of action on the gridiron.

Here’s everything to know about the “Monday Night Football” matchups for Week 15.

Who plays on Monday Night Football tonight?

There are two games on Monday night to wrap up Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season. Here are the games on the menu:

Vikings vs. Bears

Location: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minn.

The Vikings are set to host the Bears as they continue to try to track down the Lions in the NFC North. It’s a matchup we just saw in Week 12, with Chicago’s comeback effort falling short. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams staged a 17-point 4th quarter, only to see his team lose 30-27 in overtime.

Now, he’ll try to exact revenge and deliver a blow to the Vikings’ hopes of claiming a division title. That would require the Bears being able to slow down a Vikings offense that operates like a well-oiled machine this season, however. Sam Darnold is having a career year at the right time and just tossed five touchdowns in a Week 14 victory. The free-agent-to-be looks ready to cash in this offseason, though it’s unclear that will be in the Twin Cities.

Armed with two standout receivers, Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, and quality players littered all over the offense, Minnesota is a handful to defend while possessing a frisky defense.

Conversely, the Bears are still sorting through a season of change after multiple coaching moves. Thomas Brown is handling the interim duties, but all the moving parts have Chicago looking lost. Early returns in Week 14 weren’t good, so they’ll try to rectify that as the season ends.

Raiders vs. Falcons

Location: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nev.

The second of two games on Monday night features a pair of spiraling squads. Viewer discretion is advised when looking at the Raiders quarterback room, which is a revolving door of players right now. Injuries have left that room in complete disarray as Vegas inches closer to potentially getting the first pick in April’s draft.

Unfortunately for their opponents on Monday, the Falcons aren’t in much better shape. Kirk Cousins has come crashing back down to earth as the season has moved along, throwing eight interceptions and no touchdowns in the last four games.

Calls for rookie Michael Penix Jr. have continued to increase, but there is no indication Atlanta is willing to travel down that road yet. Either way, Monday represents an important game for Cousins, especially as his team has dropped four straight, dropping out of the playoff picture. They have a great chance to start turning their season around in Vegas. Whether that would just be a temporary fix is a story for another day.

Monday Night Football in Week 15 features another doubleheader, meaning the remotes will get a workout. One of the games is set to air on ABC, while the other can be found on ESPN.

The Vikings vs. Bears game will also be available on ESPN+, while both games can be streamed with a Fubo or NFL+ subscription.

Vikings vs. Bears

The Vikings vs. Bears game on “Monday Night Football” in Week 15 will air on ABC. The Minnesota-based contest gets priority from the Disney-owned networks, which makes sense given the NFC North matchup features the 2024 No. 1 pick, Caleb Williams, and a Vikings team that is 11-2.

Raiders vs. Falcons

The Raiders vs. Falcons game on “Monday Night Football” in Week 15 can be found on ESPN. Seemingly the lesser of the two games, Vegas is coming in with a real chance to own the top draft pick in the upcoming draft. They are also dealing with an unclear quarterback position, while the Falcons are struggling in their own right. Regarding drama, this game doesn’t appear to be the preferred Monday night matchup.

The last time these two teams met, it was a close contest that required overtime. Conventional wisdom says that the Bears will naturally struggle away from the friendly confines of Solider Field, playing in one of the more difficult venues in the NFL. More importantly, Minnesota won’t take their foot off the gas, putting away their opponents rather than allowing a 17-point final quarter.

It’s hard to buy into all the coaching changes being a benefit for the Bears in the short term. They’re already losers of seven straight, and that won’t change in Week 15. After suffering a 25-point loss in San Francisco, Chicago won’t be able to contain all the weapons on the Minnesota side. Addison and T.J. Hockenson are primed for big days at the office, but Chicago steals a late touchdown to make the score look more respectable. Vikings 31, Bears 17

Raiders vs. Falcons prediction

This game profiles as one to watch when the other is in a commercial. It’s ugly. It might even fall behind other network options like “NCIS” or “Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry” on Monday night. The Raiders are bad, but Cousins might look even worse. Antonio Pierce’s Vegas team can be frisky at times, but after losing Maxx Crosby for the season, it’s hard to imagine that’ll be the case this week.

The Falcons are the team with something to play for, even if those hopes feel like a long shot now. Cousins should be able to get enough going to break that touchdown-less streak in a game that features a decent margin of victory on the scoresheet. Falcons 23, Raiders 10
